ANTI-VANDAL PUSH-BUTTON

A round vandal-resistant push button with Braille marking and an illuminated halo, for car and landing. Its place is exposed installations — social housing, car parks, public transport, schools — where the push button is the first part to take a hit and the one that puts an otherwise healthy lift out of service.

Against a conventional button, the reinforced build is meant to survive impact and prying without losing the call function. The reference standard for lifts exposed to vandalism is EN 81-71, which classifies equipment by its resistance; the design decision is to pick the level by location rather than fit the whole building the same way. The illuminated halo keeps call acknowledgement visible and the Braille marking covers the EN 81-70 accessibility requirement.
